Founder & President
Bret Pafford Jr.
Bret is a Food and Beverage industry veteran with over 26 years of experience- 19 in executive management. He has been a resident of Maui, Hawaii for the past 12 years. During his career journey in Hawaii, Bret closely worked with Beverly Gannon, a Godmother to Hawaiian Fusion cuisine for 7 years.
A native of Indiana and graduate of the Culinary Institute of American in New York, Chef Pafford’s culinary style has been refined working in prominent kitchens in New York and California – including cooking alongside great chefs like Sottha Kuhn from Le Cirque and Jean-Louis Palladin at Restaurant Palladin. Pafford apprenticed at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, Gary Danko in San Francisco, Voigner in San Mateo and served as chef de cuisine at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa under James Beard Chef Michael Otsuka.
David graduated from Western Michigan University with a major in Aviation and minors in Business and Cello Performance. In 2005, David founded Howard’s Home Improvement and has worked hard to earn a reputation as one of Indiana’s most respected builders. David has always had a passion for great food, particularly Latin cuisine. In February of 2015, David partnered with Angel Magno to build “La Poblana” – a food truck that has established itself as the most authentic food truck in Bloomington, Indiana. David partnered with Chef Pafford to continue his desire to bring great food to the community.
Director of Operations
Subin graduated from the prestigious Wooing University in Daejon, Korea where where received a bachelor's in Culinary Arts. She also has an associates in Hospitality & Tourism from the University of Hawaii. Subin successfully completed a pastry chef internship at Bev Gannon Restaurants in Maui, Hawaii and a internship position at the Four Seasons Resort, Maui at Wailea. After her internship, she continued her carrer as an in-room dining coordinator with the Four Seasons. In 2019, Subin joined her husband (Bret Pafford) to open ReVv & Strum Hospitality in Bloomington, Indiana.
Chief Operating Officer
Jessica graduated from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business with a Masters in Finance. She also attended IU for her undergraduate degree where she received a BS in Human Resource Management and a minor in Finance. She has worked in the hospitality industry for over 8 years and has been with ReVv & Strum Hospitality since it started in 2019. Jessica has traveled to over 30 countries so far and loves to learn about unique cuisines from around the world.
Assistant Director of Operations
Kieran brings over two decades of restaurant management, catering orchestration, and hospitality operations experience to his role with ReVv & Strum Hospitality. He began his culinary career in Bloomington, IN before leading concepts in Northern Colorado and Northwest Indiana. His passion for fine food, craft beer, and international spirits stems from his appreciation for science and gastronomy.
Chef de Cuisine
Brandon Sijalbo grew up in the island of Maui where he gained experiences in a multiple fine dining restaurant setup along side chef Bret Pafford. While working in luxury environments in food & beverage industry for over 7 years, he was able to build a strong foundation for his career as a cook.During personal times, Brandon likes to enjoy outdoor activities but most of all, he loves exploring new cuisine.
